Our current setup for camping is the 2021 Palomino Puma RV travel trailer, manufactured by Forest River. It measures 30 feet and has a panoramic slide-out for scenic views of the outdoors. The outdoor kitchen setup is a great feature that allows us to cook and serve meals while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The large dinette and sofa slide-out is perfect for accommodating guests, making it great for entertaining.
The interior of the trailer has ample space for us and our dogs, making it an ideal camper for weekend getaways. Although it may not be suitable for long-term living, it is perfect for short to medium-length trips. It has a gross weight of 7,598 lbs and a hitch weight of 670 lbs, which is compatible with our Ford F-250 pickup truck.
The spacious kitchen area allows us to prepare all our meals, and it’s easy to clean up. The refrigerator is larger than most travel trailers, and it keeps our food fresh and cool. The living area is comfortable and can seat up to four people at the dinette, with two recliners positioned across from the TV. The bathroom is on the side, and plenty of storage is above the recliners and under the dinette seats.
Our new towing vehicle is a 2021 Ford F-250, Super Duty, which has a towing capacity of 22,800 lbs, more than enough for any RV’s GVW. The weight distribution system we have works perfectly and you can’t even tell a load is on the hitch. It handles like a dream and has all the features we need to make it the perfect towing vehicle for our smaller camper. And it looks good too.
Overall, we love our Palomino Puma travel trailer and our Ford F-250 and enjoy the freedom it provides for exploring the great outdoors. It’s comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped for all our camping needs.
